The present study had the purpose of evaluating the phenology of Merlot grapevine grafted on three rootstocks, and grown in two elevated altitudes in the Southern Highlands of Santa Catarina State. The experiment was conducted in two commercial vineyards located in the counties of São Joaquim (28°14?S, 49°58?W, 1.300 m) and Urubici (27°56′S, 49°34′W e 1.150m), evaluation the phenology, summation of GDD and maturation of Merlot grafted onto 1103P, 3309C and 101-14 Mgt. We conclude that The phenology of Merlot grapevine grafted onto different rootstocks showed variation in the occurrence of phenological stages. The average advance in the occurrence of veraison of Merlot grafted on 101-14 Mgt was related to higher accumulation of thermal time, and decreased total acidity, suggesting an advance in the maturation of the berries when compared to 1103P. |
